And so the infamous mid-term holiday week was upon us, promising busy pistes, snakes of ski school classes and, of course, for the Snowskoolers, lots of shadowing opportunities. Our students were an integral part of the Parallel Lines Ski School operations this week as hundreds of adults and kids needing lessons descended on Meribel. They were very helpful on many different fronts - holding up signs so everyone knew where to meet on the first day; organising their groups; picking up fallen children; building confidence and generally helping everyone get through the very busy week. Skoolers were focusing on learning teaching skills from the instructors and trying to garner tips for their own lessons. Most students have now achieved the necessary hours for their Level 2, making them well prepped for the exans in two weeks' time! Thank you, guys, for being great ambassadors for SnowSkool and Parallel Lines.  Check out the pix below ...

This week was also ridiculously warm and sunny again! Good though it is for the goggle tan, it's a bit worrying for the state of the pistes especially with the volume of traffic they endured this week.  On the flip side,  when not working hardthere were so many beautiful views to enjoy and relaxed sitting outside in restaurants and bars. It is impossible not to be happy when you can afford to sit back and enjoy watching the people only here for a week desperately cramming in as much skiing as they can.

A few of the students had a bit of free time this week around their shadowing commitments and so made the most of the sunshine with some freeskiing.  Some were even spotted hitting up the park this week, trying out the boxes and sending it off the kickers!

The students are now thinking ahead to their Level 2 exams and next week will see more tuition and consolidation of their teaching methods, putting into practice what they have seen in action this week but a celebratory post-half-term night out is definitely in order before then. Also in the pipe-line are snowboarding and freestyle lessons for those wishing to learn more new skills!

Have a good week!
