Welcome back to the last newsletter from the SnowSkool team in Big White for winter 2014/ 15. And we are proud to introduce 35 new Level 2 ski & snowboard instructors into the snowsports industry - that is not bad when 39 rookies arrived in Big White just eleven weeks ago. Passing the Level 2 exam is the crowning glory to a fantastic season with a record snowfall, some great times both on- and off-snow and amazing friends made across the board...and a little more in some cases! Have a look at some of the photos from the past week:

With lessons and exams complete, the SnowSkoolers had a few days before they had to head home and leave this beautiful mountain behind. With the park course in full swing, we had our first big injury of the season when Jack P unfortunately came across some ice and ended up with a broken wrist. Hopefully it's a quick recovery and he's back in action soon. Congratulations to Joao, Ben, Luke, Matt, Sion, Ray and Robbie on passing the course.
On Sunday night Jude and Paul hosted a karaoke night in Globe Café where Jason, Poppy and Ross were stars of the show but everyone gave their singing voices a go. We all met up at Sessions for beers on the balcony on Monday afternoon but as the temperature dropped, we all made our way inside for a bit of warmth.
With a bit of fresh snow under our feet and blue skies over our heads, some of our brave troops spent the next few days hiking their way over to East Peaks to take on some of the gnarly chutes on offer. After a scary moment with a few sneaky rocks Nick bagged himself the title of Stack of the Season which won him a snowboard at Sessions’ tricks and stacks night.
As we hit our last weekend Carly and Rhian went down to meet the huskies and headed out on a dog sleigh tour for the afternoon. Others made their way up to the famous Knoll and some got stuck into the park to learn some last new tricks before departing.
Monday was our final night together and we all met up on Blarney Stone balcony for our last meal as a group. Many laughs were had and stories from the season were shared. As the sun set for the final time we made our way to Sam’s for a few farewell drinks.
With a super early start, the bus arrived to pick everyone up at 5.30am and many, many hours later everyone made it home safe. All of us here at SnowSkool hope everyone had an amazing time and we thank you for making it such a fun season for us. Thanks to all you at home for your continued interest and support and we hope you've enjoyed glimpsing some of the fun times we've opver here in Biggy.
Happy Easter all round!
