Wow, the first week in Meribel has just flown by! Everyone is now well into the training and becoming great friends! The Three Valleys is starting to become home for everyone.
With all the snow at the start of the week everyone was keen to get out there and hit the pow! Some of the students have started their first-aid training this week so sadly missed out on the early morning first tracks but still made up for it in their training. Fortunately, we’re sure there will be plenty more opportunities for some early morning pow days on the remainder of the course. A few snow dances might help.
Everyone is now becoming quite the regulars to the ice hockey on a Tuesday night with a bigger turn out than last week. Afterwards some carried on the night and went to the 90s hip hop night at LDV which turned out to be a fun night with some great 90s moves on show, on the dance floor!
All week the students have been working very hard in their lessons, lots of snow-plough turns, drills and practise teaches being used on one another! The instructors are definitely putting them through their paces in lieu of their Level 1 exam.
After lessons on Friday everyone had après at ‘Ronnie's’! Even the instructors came along to join in the festivities. Beers to reward a lot of hard work over the last 2 weeks but the real thing starts next week! There are a few nerves about but I’m sure everyone will smash it!
At the weekend most of the SnowSkoolers got out to practice their drills (even with sore heads from the night before. Dedication!). There was a pit stop for lunch at Folie's and a few beers to calm the nerves and settle down for the exam week ahead.
Good luck to everyone next week on the BASI Level 1. Work hard and go smash it!
