The big week has been and gone, our first exam week. BASI Level 1 is done! Everyone has worked so hard and we had a fantastic pass rate! A massive congratulations to everyone. You can now all say you're officially BASI Level 1 ski and snowboard instructors! Now onto the Level 2.
With everyone on a high we all had a great après to celebrate on Friday, meeting at Ronnie’s. All the examiners and the Parallel Lines instructors came up to see how everyone got along and to celebrate the results with the SnowSkoolers.
Saturday most people took the morning off for a well-deserved rest but a few braved it up the hill. Some of the boys were enjoying themselves with a few kickers, Rob was perhaps enjoying himself a little too much, perhaps on a high from his Level 1, and misjudged the speed coming too fast to the jump and got a massive amount of air, then a bit of faceplant! He got off very lightly though and only bent his pole!!
Saturday was also Jess and Sam’s birthdays. We all met at Folies to celebrate in the afternoon and the celebrations went on into the night! They had a great day, so Sunday was another chilled one (with a few sore heads).
The best news of the weekend was that everyone’s snow dance on Saturday seemed to work a treat. As on Sunday it did not stop dumping! 40cm of powder over Sunday night. We think a few fresh tracks and face shots for everyone on Monday! Perhaps the best start to a week possible.
