Level 1 Snowboard Instructor Training in Big White

Small community feel, big mountain experience

More snowboarders go to Big White than any other SnowSkool resort. And why?! The go-to answer is to drone on about the plentiful light & fluffy powder that falls in bucketloads across the 3000 acres of skiable terrain in Big White. Skiers can say what they want but riders know that shreddin’ pow on a board is, simply, better. Big White’s sick park is also a factor – freestyle is such an intrinsic part of our sport that the list of park features is as important a mountain stat as any other.

But for sure another reason is Big White’s attitude - a relaxed vibe that taps into the psyche of snowboarders. Biggie is a cool local’s hill that cares not for the commercialisation that has spoilt places like Whistle-bollocks. Ok so Biggie doesn’t have a zipwire, five nightclubs and a shopping centre but we also don’t have three-hour lift lines at the weekends, $3000 season passes and slopes full of punters. Come spend a few weeks riding with us over in Big White - if it your first time in Biggie, it won't be your last.

Slopes

The Big White piste map is pretty extensive with 3000 acres of in-bound terrain split into five powder bowls containing ~120 named runs but, for many, the piste map is just a starting point. The off-piste/ tree-riding possibilities at Big White open up a whole new dimension that few other resorts can match. Around 80% of the terrain is flanked by trees and, at any point, you can point your ride into the spruces to hit a different line every time. With regular dumps and quiet slopes, a powder stash is never far away. And the Park at Biggie is world-class with features that can be dialled-up to competition standard.
