NUSSC, a.k.a. Newcastle University Ski and Snowboard Club, is the largest club at Newcastle University boasting over 400 paid members last year.
A mainstay for many years on the various podiums around the university club circuit, the NUSSC team certainly have a formidable reputation and it's not surprising given the results they picked up last year! Just take a look at these:

SnowSkool caught up with this year’s committee to find out what they had to say about the club:
We want to make 2011/12 the best year NUSSC has ever seen, kicking off with a huge Fresher's Party in October with a dedicated Jager bar, what more could you ask for?
NUSSC has something to offer everyone including holidays, socials and even intra mural teams. If you fancy putting your skills to the test we have regular race and freestyle training and will be attending all the main uni competitions (BUDS, BUISC, Kings etc) throughout the year to try and rack up some more top results! We also offer amazing deals on lessons if you're just starting out or are just a bit out of practice. We also offer our members great deals through our sponsors, from equipment to ski & snowboard instructor courses we've got it covered!
Living in "The Toon", we couldn't be based in a better location for nightlife and we sure know how to make use of it with weekly socials every Wednesday complete with ridiculous amounts of jagerbombs and trebles. When we fancy dressing up a bit we also attend five balls throughout the year.
Our main event this year is our Christmas Trip, which will be in Val Thorens from the 16th-24th December in the 4* Tikal hotel. The Christmas trip sees snow lovers from Newcastle Uni indulge in a week of skiing, boarding and partying in one of the Alps best resorts. We can't wait! In Easter we will also be making our presence felt at BUSC Main Event is Saalbach and Hinterglem.
With all that in mind it's clear to see that NUSSC is for all skiers and boarders whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro! So if you happen to drop by a uni snowsport event this year, come over and say hi! NUSSC love xxx
