So, what does a SnowSkool Rep get up to on the mountains?

We spoke to Tyler, the 24/25 Rep in Méribel, who gave us the rundown.

You’re the Organiser-in-Chief

From the moment the course kicks off, you’re on it:

  • Making sure everyone gets from Geneva to their chalets
  • Helping them settle in and feel welcome
  • Making sure they show up on time for training, first aid and exams

You’re essentially the glue that holds everything together. “It’s on me to make sure it all runs smoothly,” says Tyler.

You’re Not a Trainer, but You Help Set the Stage (or…the Piste)

Tyler worked closely with head trainer, Craig Conkie (read more about Craig here), especially at the start and end of the course. Together, they helped set up training and exam groups.

You’re That Friendly Face on and off the Mountain

A huge part of the job is social. You’ll be skiing or snowboarding with the group, hanging out after lessons, and checking in over chalet dinners.

Tyler made it a point to eat in each chalet weekly: “It helped everyone feel more included.”

“You need a big social battery,” Tyler says. “You’re not just a rep - you’re their mate for the season.”

You’re There If Anything Goes Wrong

Things won’t always go to plan. But the rep is the go-to person: “If someone’s got a problem, they come to me and I help sort it.”

Best Bit?

“Three months of snowboarding with legends who became my mates.”

Keen to hit the slopes, help out, and meet some great people? You might just be SnowSkool Rep material.
