Instructor Course vs Internship? Which SnowSkool programme will suit you best?
31st May 2024 SnowSkool offers both ski and snowboard instructor courses and ski internships. FAQs include which is best for skills improvement? Qualifications? Social life? A gap year? A Career Break? Bank balance? Career?
Well, really, either option can be best for all of the above depending on your specific circumstances and what you really want out of a ski season.
This post looks at the main differences and provides a summary of the different options on offer from SnowSkool to help you think through what may best suit you.

Clair Dawe-Woodings | From Chef to Ski and Snowboard instructor at Sunshine Village, Banff
24th May 2024 Clair hasn’t looked back since gaining ski and snowboard instructor qualifications at SnowSkool Banff in 2018. She urges anyone thinking about doing a SnowSkool course to go for it describing it as ‘a once in a lifetime chance’ which has improved her confidence and wellbeing and opened the doors to a life she loves. SnowSkool graduates Max and James tell us about their gap year experience in Sunshine, Banff
3rd May 2024 Max Jolliffe and James Lindemann were SnowSkool students in 2023. Max is from Essex and James is from Australia. Both fresh out of school wanting to defer university, they met on the instructor course in Sunshine Village, Banff, became firm friends and have gone on to work together in Australia and Japan.
Currently in Australia and between seasons in their back-to-back winter seasons adventure, they reflect on their experience and tell us what they have planned next.
And one thing’s for sure, they are not ready to head back from the mountains just yet. Their enthusiasm for the SnowSkool course in Sunshine Village, Banff and subsequent work was palpable.
